Oh deep joy! They are digging up Princess Street again. Take two! Yet another sad event in saga of the great Edinburgh tram disaster, with no trams! Who knows where it came from and who knows where it's going. Edinburgh council seem a bit vague on the subject. Its a big old dark mystery as is the spiralling cost and that just for the tram tracks. We have not even begun to consider the cost of the actual trams yet. The analogies of Pushing custard up hill and Pulling teeth don't even begin to describe the incompetent handling of this project. Its great material for the many comedians who perform at the fringe festival each year and you do have to laugh as the alternatives are not pleasant.
I'm not sure what us poor citizens of Edinburgh did to deserve such a modern day biblical disaster but all we can do is hope and pray we get some sort of working tram system at the end of the day rather than a glorified fairground ride. But if recent form is any indication then the Runes do not look good.
