Weekend away

Just back from brief weekend away in Dollgellau in Wales. Staying at the excellent Ffynnon Boutique hotel.
Dolgellau is an historic Welsh town set in the southern part of The Snowdonia National Park and was formerly the county town of Merionethshire (now Gwynedd). The town is located at the foot of Cader Idris (Cadair Idris) mountain range and there are three main routes to the summit, the main one being the Pony Path which is accessible from Cader Road which leads out of the town.
The town is a great base for touring Snowdonia with many popular walks only two or three miles from the town centre. These include Torrent Walk and Precipice Walks (old and new). Another very popular walk/cycle ride starts from the town car park and runs nine miles along the old railway line to the pretty seaside town of Barmouth on the coast.
We spent Friday morning on the Glyn Aran Walk. This is a circular with panoramic views of the town and Norhtern Slopes of Cader Idris Range. After our 2hr walk we headed off to small sea side town of Barmouth with the sun shining it was warm enough to sit on the beach and catch some rays.

Fujifilm X100 shots

Out and about in Edinburgh with my X100. Just feels great to use. These shots are straight out of the camera. Auto focus is a tad on the slow side as is the start up. So its not the best for quick action street shots. I tend to use the Velvia vivid setting well saturated shots.
